Here at Bowhill Pet Resort, we have a range of services as varied as you want us to be.
Pick up and delivery. Charges apply. We do encourage (especially first time) you to bring your pet personally. How would you feel if a stranger put you in a strange car and took you to a strange place? I know a few of you would say “excited”, but most pets don’t view it that way. They may stress a bit.
Diabetics welcome. Blood sugar can sometimes change, and hypoglycemia can occur quickly. Talk to your Vet. We do board a lot of diabetic pets.
Geriatrics special care. Some senior pets have special requirements. Often they feel less secure than when they were young. We are happy to cater for them. Its a regular occurence to lift them out of bed and get them moving in the morning. Snuggle them under blankets at night. And just that tender gentle touch means so much to them. It can be a fair bit of work, but our kind staff are only too happy to do it.The oldest dog we have boarded was 20. He had been coming here since a puppy.
Recovering from an operation. With our busy lives, we just can’t stay home to care for the “patient”. Life would just be much easier for you if we looked after the pet till it recovered. We offer special care for pets who are recovering from Veterinary treatment and require regular supervision. Sometimes its good to let them stay with us, as they can be kept quiet and wont bust stiches or strain that very expensive crucit ligament repair. You can always come visit or take them out for a treat day.
Day care. Ours is a little different from what is normally offered. We have lots of dogs (and some cats) that come in for day care for such reasons as tradies are at your home during the day, you are at work, gates can be left open and the dog is gone when you get home from work. Other reasons are neighbours are complaining about the barking while you are away. The real estate manager is doing an inspection today. Your dog may like to have a bit of a change occasionally. It must be boring sitting home alone all day. We only charge a rate of $10 per day, but do not offer all the bells and whistles of playtime, personal supervision, etc. It’s essentially normal kennel care but just between 7am and 5pm. It is very popular, and sometimes we are heavily booked. Book ahead if possible. Can’t do it at peak times – sorry!
Grooming
We have a fantastic grooming team. If you would like your dog to be the hottest property in the neighbourhood, after his vacation here, get him “Stefanstyled” whilst on holiday.
